Cardiovascular Associates, Inc. (CVA) was founded in 1946 by Dr. John B. Burrett of Birmingham. Dr. Burrett was the first cardiologist to practice in the state of Alabama. His legacy of dedication, skill, and compassion remains at the heart of the practice today.

As the organization began to outgrow its multiple buildings and sites throughout the city, CVA considered the consolidation of multiple clinics to a single location. CR Endeavors was able to identify large-scale operational inefficiencies and advise that consolidating to a centralized location could produce approximately $3M of annual savings over the next eight years and at the same time increase patient visits. CVA had many unique building requirements that helped lead to the decision to build a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Birmingham. It has become one of the nation’s leading symbols of innovation and inclusion throughout the healthcare industry. We were able to deliver a built-to-suit facility for long-term flexibility, actually allowing CVA to downsize from 120,000 square feet to 66,000 square feet.
