Crown Jewel in Birmingham’s Revitalization Efforts

A big league symbol of progress that has become the crown jewel in Birmingham’s revitalization efforts in the city’s center. A ballpark in an intriguing neighborhood with a design that is custom-made for the Magic City. The 8,500-seat Regions Field was designed to be an inclusive destination with food, fun, and festivities to spare. Its views of the skyline and Red Mountain, incredible banquet hall and steel-mill exterior are just a few of its outstanding features.

CR Endeavors led the team with partners Robins & Morton and Brasfield & Gorrie for the design and construction of a brand-new baseball stadium adjacent to the Park. The $64M project broke ground on February 2, 2012 and completed the development on April 10, 2013, Opening Day of the Birmingham Baron’s 2013 season. That same year, Regions Field was awarded baseballparks.com “Ballpark of the Year,” and the Barons liked their new home so much that they won the Southern League Championship, winning five times over the visiting Mississippi Braves.
